NEW TRAINING CLASSES OFFERED:

We are pleased to announce that we now offer First Aid/CPR Training
for all of our members and Signatory Contractors.
We do require a minimum of 10 persons in order to hold a class.
If you are interested or for further information on date availability,
please call the Apprenticeship school at 301-599-0940.

2008 OUTSTANDING APPRENTICESHIP COMETITION NEWS:

On September 19-24, Iron workers Local Union #5 will be sending two contestants to
compete in the International Outstanding Apprenticeship Competition that will be held
in Philadelphia, PA. Our competitors will be, Alexi Ogai and James Yuhase. We wish
both men good luck at the competition and want them to know, win or lose, they
are both very fine examples of what a true ironworker should be.

SCHOOL IS BACK IN SESSION:

School will start on Monday, August 25, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. If you have not received
your class assignment, you will need to contact the school at 301-599-0940
right away to ensure you do not miss any classes and/or fail for not showing up.

1) Our apprenticeship classes will now qualify you for college credits and for an Associate's Degree.
